About PlusOne

PlusOne is a free tool for the person on the other side of the wedding — the guest. Almost every wedding calculator online is built for the couple planning the day. Nobody was helping the friend, cousin, or coworker figure out what saying "yes" to the invitation actually costs them: the flights, the hotel, the gift, the outfit, and the three other weddings already on the calendar this year.

So we built PlusOne. Enter a wedding, get a realistic estimate across all five cost categories, and save each one into a single running season budget so you can see the whole year at once — and decide, honestly, which invitations you can say yes to.

How we think about it

The average US guest spends around $610 per wedding (The Knot's guest study), and far more for destination weddings or a busy season. We start from real numbers like that, keep the pre-filled amounts as sensible starting points rather than quotes, and let you adjust everything. The goal is not to make weddings feel expensive — it is to remove the nasty surprise so you can plan for the ones that matter to you.
