How PlusOne works
PlusOne estimates what attending a wedding costs you — travel, hotel, gift, attire and an “other / misc” catch-all — and rolls every wedding up into one season budget. Marking a wedding’s RSVP as “No” drops it from your season total in one tap, while it stays visible in a separate “Not attending” list so you can still see what you’re skipping. It all runs entirely in your browser. There is no account and no server: nothing you type is sent to us.
Where your data lives
Your saved weddings are stored on this device, in this browser. Refreshing or restarting keeps them. They are lost only if you clear your browser data, use private/incognito mode, or switch to a different device or browser — because the data never leaves this browser.
Back up so you never lose your season
On the season page, under Your data, tap “Back up to a file” to download your whole season — including your private Quick Links notes — as a .json file. Keep it somewhere safe (email it to yourself, save it to your cloud drive). On a new device, tap “Restore from a file” and choose that file to bring your season back. Restoring replaces whatever is currently on that device, and we’ll tell you how many weddings will be replaced before you confirm.
Sharing your season
“Share my season” is different from a backup. It creates a link that a friend can open to see a read-only copy of your season, so you can compare the weddings you’re both attending. Opening a shared link never changes the other person’s saved data.
The link carries the full budget of every wedding — all five categories, RSVP, dates and splits, including the ones you’re not attending. The only thing left out of the link is your private Quick Links notes. So the difference is simple: the link shares your full budget snapshot; the Export file shares everything, including your saved links and notes. Use Export when you want a truly complete copy — and for very large seasons, since a link can only hold so much.
Two more things to know about a share link: it embeds the data you entered — including any names or locations — so anyone with the link can read it, and it’s a snapshot: if you edit your season later, an old link still shows the old numbers.
Currency & region
The picker at the top sets how money is displayed and which booking/outfit links you see for your region. It does not convert amounts between currencies — enter amounts in your own currency.
Why “Do Not Sell or Share” is in the footer
Even though your data stays on your device, the footer has a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. That’s because personalized ads let the ad network read cookie/device information to target them, which California law treats as a “sale/share” of personal information — so the opt-out is required, and we honor it. It’s triggered by the ads, not by anything we store. See the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.
A note on estimates
The pre-filled amounts are typical starting points, not quotes. Estimates are informational only, not financial advice; your actual costs will vary.
